My name is Omar S. Darboe and a Gambian by nationality. I am 37 years old. I started my elementary schooling in The Gambia from a well known community called Gunjur Village in the Southern part of the west coast region and later completed my junior and senior secondary schools at Lamin and Bakoteh Villages respectively at the schools of St. Peters Technical Junior Secondary School and SOS Hermann Germeiner Technical High School.
I attended Gambia Technical Training Institute for my Higher Teachers Certificate and Higher National Certificate in Technical Education and later joined the University of The Gambia for Bachelors of Science Education in Mathematics with a minor in Physics and a Post Graduate Diploma in Meteorology and Hydrology. I also pursued some online courses in Oceanography, Climate Change and Atmospheric Sciences to strengthen my knowledge and understanding the earth system. I have keen interest in becoming an oceanic and maritime expert.
